Sterilization Tech
Barb wears several hats in our office. She sterilizes all instruments and chairs, makes appointments, assists at the front desk, and generally makes the office run more efficiently. Barb enjoys talking with our patients and their parents and listening to all the interesting stories they have to tell. Barb knows first-hand how excellent Dr. Dahar is as an orthodontist; both of her children got their beautiful smiles right here! Barb has been married to her high school sweetheart for 33 years. She enjoys reading, cross-stitch, gardening, and playing on her iPad in her free time.
Carole
Billing Coordinator, Front Desk
Carole works at our front desk where she prepares monthly statements, is responsible for all payments, and takes care of our office’s banking needs. She joined us more than 20 years ago and has been indispensible ever since! Even though Carole is busy keeping our office up and running, she also takes the time to get to know our family of patients. Carole considers Dr. Dahar to be very considerate and believes he is one of the best orthodontists around because he always goes above and beyond for his patients and employees. Carole has been married to her best friend for 43 years. They have three wonderful children and four granddaughters. In her spare time, Carole loves to knit, cook, read, and bake with all her grandkids.
Carrie
Orthodontic Assistant
Carrie assists Dr. Dahar with patient care including taking records, placing archwires, fitting for appliances, and working in the lab. She also serves as our clinical educator. Carrie has more than 20 years of experience in the dental field and joined the Smiles by Dahar team in 1998. She loves spending her day helping to create such beautiful and unique smiles. Carrie is the mother of two amazing and funny girls and has been married to her loving husband for 12 years. Their West View home is full with two pugs, two cats, and a few fish. When she has free time, Carrie enjoys reading, hot yoga, and spending time with friends and family.
Cindy
Dental Assistant
Cindy takes care of our inventory and ordering, in addition to all orthodontic assistant duties, is X-ray certified, and can help you with your office needs at the front desk. Cindy has been a witness to Dr. Dahar’s amazing results for 23 years and feels lucky to work with our wonderful team. Cindy has three amazing grandsons who she enjoys spending as much time as possible with. She also has one cat who is her baby. She loves to play golf and be outside in the beautiful weather with her husband as well. When she has time for relaxation, she enjoys playing the piano.
Holly
Assistant
In addition to assisting Dr. Dahar with orthodontic duties, Holly is also in charge of creating all the contests our patients can take advantage of. She has worked here for 12 years and truly enjoys seeing our patients’ smiles and their beautiful transformations. Holly feels fortunate to work for such an excellent orthodontist and a great boss in Dr. Dahar. She also loves working with the rest of our team. Holly resides in Kilbuck Township with her husband, Kevin, their two kids, and two cats. In her free time she enjoys shopping, laughing, and a great cup of coffee.
Joyce
Receptionist
Joyce schedules our patients’ appointments and assists Pam in preparing paperwork for patient visits. Her dental career began in 1979 and she joined Dr. Dahar’s team in 1998. Joyce enjoys the challenge of scheduling appointments so they fit easily within our patients’ busy lives. Joyce also gets to chat with our patients and their parents when they come into the office, and she likes getting to know them all a little better at every visit. She shares Dr. Dahar’s genuine compassion and dedication toward his patients. Joyce is married with three grown children and two grandsons. She enjoys being at the beach, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Mercedes
Office Manager
Mercedes serves as our treatment coordinator, and is responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and insurance. She’s been with us for almost her entire dental career, joining Smiles by Dahar in 1974. Mercedes loves coming to work every day and helping to change our patients’ lives with a smile. She also appreciates the chance to work with such a caring, compassionate, and fair human being in Dr. Dahar. Mercedes enjoys shopping and having coffee with her daughter, watching a good movie with her cat on her lap, and taking long walks in the park with her husband.
Pam
Secretary, Treatment Coordinator, Educational Coordinator
Pam has been scheduling appointments, presenting treatment and financial arrangements, providing details about our services, presenting dental programs to elementary age students in local areas, and marketing our office to the community for more than 30 years! Pam loves being a part of creating beautiful smiles and making the entire experience great for our patients. She takes real pride in knowing she is working with an outstanding orthodontist. Pam resides in Gibsonia with her husband, her high school sweetheart. They have two grown children and one grandson. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, scrap-booking, photography, and walking with her dog, Mandy.
Renee
Clinical Assistant
Renee joined our office as a clinical assistant 27 years ago, and works side-by-side with Dr. Dahar with clinical duties, takes X-rays, and completes lab work. Even after all these years, Renee still loves to learn, especially about new procedures to improve patient comfort. She believes that Dr. Dahar is a very caring man who treats his patients and employees with care and respect, and couldn’t imagine working anywhere else. Renee is married with three wonderful children and many pets. In her spare time she loves walking, hot yoga, and gardening.
Sara
Treatment Coordinator, Team Manager, IT Specialist, Marketing Guru
Sara acts as a treatment coordinator where she presents treatment plans and makes all financial arrangements for our patients. She also works at the front desk, serves as a clinical assistant when needed, and takes care of marketing and computer business. Sara loves getting to know our patients; they always have something to say that makes her laugh. Sara has worked in the orthodontic field for a long time now, and really believes in the quality of care Dr. Dahar provides. He is very understanding, giving, and above all, family-oriented.
Kim
Orthodontic Assistant
We would like to give a warm welcome to our newest member, Kim! Kim works out of the Avalon and Zelienople offices and is excited to work with Dr. Dahar and his team. Kim has always had a fascination with teeth which led her to pursue a career a dental assistant. She has been working in the dentistry field since 2005. Kim loves bringing confidence with a bright smile to every patient both young and old.
Kim lives in Bellevue with her boyfriend Bob and their three dogs who she considers to be her children. You always know when Kim is around because of her hearty laugh. Kim enjoys camping, gardening, Pilates and decorating

Bonnie assists Dr. Dahar by prepping patients for braces, changing wires, taking impressions, and making retainers. She started working with for Dr. Dahar in 2002, though her dental career began in 1979. Bonnie works one-on-one with each patient and enjoys getting to know them as she watches their teeth change with orthodontic treatment. Bonnie is married with two grown children. Their daughter lives in Virginia and their son lives in Monroeville. She loves spending time with her family and she is an avid collector of Mickey Mouse.

From allaying the apprehension of the new patient or parent to celebrating a beautiful smile at the de-band appointment, Lorraine is there for it all. She works in our Zelienople office where she schedules appointments, answers the phones, and greets patients with a warm and welcoming smile. Lorraine loves the relationships developed with our families and considers them to be the greatest part of her job. Lorraine is married to Dr. Dahar and loves watching his dedication to achieving the best smiles for his patients. As a mother of three children and grandmother of six, Lorraine’s happiest times are those spent with family. She and her husband, along with their rescued Yorkshire terrier, Buddy, are always excited to see all the kids come home.
